This series of 38 boxes contains material on a variety of projects begun but not completed by DeMille from 1916 to 1960. Some files contain only a story or synopsis. Other files indicate that considerable time and expense went into certain projects before they were suddenly cancelled. The videotapes in this series are from 16 mm Prints of the 35 mm nitrate prints preserved at the George Eastman House of Photograph, Rochester, New York. They were recorded on half-inch VHS videotape (NTSC standard) and consist of 34 feature films produced during the silent film years.
